Liverpool’s Jordan Henderson lifts the Champions League
A moment Liverpool’s Jordan Henderson will never, ever forget.
Henderson, Liverpool’s club captain, lifted the Champions League trophy after the Reds beat Tottenham 2-0 in Madrid on Saturday.
Henderson has often been maligned by supporters over the course of his Anfield career.
However, the Liverpool number 14 was excellent in the final against Spurs, and he was rewarded with the honour of lifting the cup.

After the trophy celebrations, there was a beautiful scene with Henderson and his dad, Brian Henderson.
The Liverpool captain, with his gold medal draped around his neck, broke down in tears as he hugged his dad in an awesome moment.
Henderson’s dad is suffering with throat cancer.

Jordan Henderson’s dad post-match interview after Liverpool beat Tottenham
Australian broadcasters Optus Sport spoke with Brian Henderson after his embrace with his son.
The beaming father spoke about how proud he was of his son’s achievement.
He revealed how Jordan had told him as a 10-year-old that he’d play Champions League football in his career.
Brian Henderson also revealed that had Liverpool lost the final, Jordan would have had an awful summer.
