German giants Borussia Dortmund continued their resurgence during the Rückrunde while securing their fourth consecutive win since the restart of the 2022-23 season during a 5-1 thumping of SC Freiburg at the Westfalenstadion, with Portuguese left-back Rafa Guerreiro offering-up a trio of assists in what may be his final season in the Ruhr valley.

CM: Gabri Veiga (Real Club Celta de Vigo)

Celta Vigo continue to put the past behind them in recent weeks as the Galicians secured their second win in consecutive fixtures during a 4-3 shootout on the road against Real Betis in Andalusia, with Gabri Veiga coming up big for Os Celestes with a brace from midfield on either side of halftime.

CAM: Pere Milla (Elche Club de Fútbol)

Bottom-dwellers Elche has attacking midfielder Pere Milla to thank for their massive upset win at the weekend that saw the club earn its first three-point haul of the La Liga campaign against top-five outfit Villarreal, with a hat-trick (including a brace from the penalty spot) that constituted all three goals in a 3-1 win to give the fans just one moment of joy during a dismal 2022-23 campaign.

RW: Edon Zhegrova (Lille Olympique Sporting Club)

An all-around excellent outing by Kosovoan international winger Edon Zhegrova helped push LOSC Lille to just two points against weekend opponent Stade Rennais during their 3-1 win in Brittany on Saturday, with a 100% goal contribution from the 23-year-old former FC Basel standout proving decisive on a critical weekend night.

LW: Christopher Antwi-Adjei (Verein für Leibesübungen Bochum)

Ghanaian winger Christopher Antwi-Adjei put in a show-stopping performance for in-form relegation-threatened VfL Bochum on Saturday during a 5-2 thrashing off free-falling TSG 1899 Hoffenheim on the back of a hat-trick of assists for the 28-year-old while becoming the first Bochum player to achieve that feat during a Bundesliga fixture.

CF: Victor Osimhen (Società Sportiva Calcio Napoli)

Napoli’s title charge has shown no signs of slowing down of late after Luciano Spalletti’s outfit took to the road and left the naval city of Spezia will all three points in a 3-0 win, with Nigerian hitman Victor Osimhen once more proving decisive in front of goal with a brace that takes his league total to 16 goals in goals in the process.
