Erling Haaland matches Cristiano Ronaldo record in just eight games

Manchester City faced off with the Red Devils on Sunday afternoon in their first derby of the campaign.

The Sky Blues were completely dominant throughout, with United only getting two goals back once Pep Guardiola took most of his first eleven off.

Manchester City scored six times vs Man United on Sunday, with all the goals coming from Erling Haaland and Phil Foden.

Kevin De Bruyne set up the Norwegian twice, with Sergio Gomez providing the assist for his third.

After scoring a hat-trick vs United, it has been revealed that Haaland has now scored as many Premier League hat-tricks as Cristiano Ronaldo (3), despite only playing eight games.

Haaland and Foden have also been discussing their new partnership post-match: “Obviously it’s a dream come true playing the derby as a City fan,” Foden said.

Haaland added: “You can feel it all the time, you see the passes we give we each other we always want to go forward and we always want to attack. This is what I love about the team we always want to go and attack. It’s amazing.”
