Goalkeeper Nicolas Tie has confirmed this week that he has signed a three-year professional contract with Stamford Bridge side Chelsea.
The 17-year-old shot-stopper has had a whole host of big clubs chasing his signature from the age of 13.
Chelsea, however, won the race for his signature last year when they signed him from French side Poitiers.
That didn’t mean he was their player just yet though, with the player needing to sign a professional contract this summer.
Now, he has done just that and Chelsea have secured his long-term future with a contract that runs until 2021.
The Blues will be hopeful that this will now see him progress into a first-team goalkeeper by the end of his contract before handing him a new deal.
Safe to say, the player was happy when he announced the news on social media this week.

While the club have secured Tie’s future, there is another goalkeeping problem but in the first team.
That is because the future of Thibaut Courtois could be in doubt with talk of a move to Real Madrid.
Los Blancos are looking at several options in net and the Belgian is said to be one of them, with Alisson Becker another.
It’s looking more and more likely that Chelsea could let the player go should they find a replacement.
