Cesar Azpilicueta outlines similarities between Chelsea teammate and Sergio Busquets

Italy vs Spain

Italy and Spain are set to face off in the first of two Euro 2020 semi-final clashes on Tuesday evening.

Heading into the game, it is probably the former who should be viewed as favourites.

Gli Azzurri have enjoyed a superb tournament to date, which saw them secure maximum points from their group, and also dispatch of one of the favourites, Belgium, in the quarter-finals.

Spain, on the other hand, struggled for goals early on in the competition, and then required penalties to get the better of Switzerland in the last round.

Azpilicueta on Jorginho & Busquets

Ahead of tomorrow’s game, meanwhile, Cesar Azpilicueta has been discussing Sergio Busquets and Jorginho.

Azpilicueta, who plays his club football with Chelsea, is expected to face off with Blues teammate Jorginho on Tuesday, whilst lining up alongside Barcelona’s Sergio Busquets for Spain.

In turn, Azpilicueta has been discussing the similarities between the two deep-lying midfielders:

“They’re two great players who move well in short spaces: intelligent, tactically sharp, they judge space well and always choose the right pass for the team.

“Jorginho is a great footballer, very important for the way Italy play. He likes to be in contact with the ball, to control the game, he’s clever. The less he intervenes the more we have a chance of controlling the game.

“He’s surrounded by great players too and we’ll have to come up with a collective solution.

“I’m fortunate to be able to enjoy Jorginho with Chelsea and Sergio with the national team. Hopefully we can control Tuesday: Sergio’s very important for us in that.”
