After Manchester United returned to action with a comfortable 2-0 win over Burnley – including a superb solo goal from Marcus Rashford – the Carabao Cup continues on Thursday night as Manchester City and Liverpool face off in the biggest tie of the round.
Nottingham Forest also claimed a valuable, morale-boosting win with a 4-1 triumph over Blackburn, but Brighton were the shock exit of the round, going out 4-3 on penalties after a goalless draw with Charlton in 90 minutes.
With pretty much everyone available for City and Liverpool, it remains to be seen who is afforded minutes with the likes of Erling Haaland and Riyad Mahrez not travelling to the World Cup, but also likely to be saved for Boxing Day, while someone like Trent Alexander-Arnold did play in Qatar but saw very few minutes.

Whilst Gernika are from a higher division than Algar, it should still be a match where Celta Vigo have numerous chances and we’re confident that 3 or more of these will result in goals.
