Bad for Chelsea: N’Golo Kante leaves pre-season with a knee injury
N’Golo Kante knee injury confirmed
Chelsea have confirmed the news early on Sunday morning.
Arguably the club’s best player, midfield enforcer N’Golo Kante, has been forced to return to England.
Kante has been sent back to Cobham for “rehabilitation for an injury connected to the knee problem he sustained at the end of last season.”

What do we know about Kante’s knee problem?
Chelsea finished last season by lifting the Europa League trophy.
Kante played in the final against the Gunners. But in the build-up to the showpiece, Kante sustained a knee injury in training.
While the French World Cup winner played the 90 minutes in the final against Arsenal, he subsequently missed a recent get-together with the national team at the start of the summer.
Kante’s Chelsea pre-season so far
For the record, Kante has yet to feature for Chelsea this summer.
Saying that, the midfielder has travelled around the world with the club.

Under new manager Frank Lampard, Chelsea have played three friendlies already this summer.
The Blues are currently in Asia.
If Chelsea knew that Kante has been carrying an injury, was it wise for the player to fly halfway around the globe, only to be sent home early for treatment?

Chelsea’s most recent match was against J-League side Kawasaki Frontale on Friday.
The Blues lost the match after Brazilian attacker Leandro Damiao came off the bench to score a late header for the Japanese hosts.
