Troyes vs Lille preview

The Stade de l’Aube plays hosts to Troyes and Lille this weekend with the home side already down and out and set to play in Ligue 2 next season just as Lille aim to hang on to their spot in the European competitions for next season.

Lille are sitting in fourth and into the Europa League group stages if they can match or better the results of Rennes and Monaco.

The club are sitting one point above Rennes and Monaco ahead of this game and have a much better goals difference than the latter, but a weaker goals difference tally than Rennes.

Lille managed to secure a 2-1 win over Nantes last weekend after also defeating Marseille 2-1 in the game before that. Combine this with a draw with Monaco and it means just one loss in the past five games for Lille.

As for Troyes, they are merely aiming to finish 18th and no lower on the final day of the season with the club set to battle with Ajaccio for this spot.

The club are, however, coming into this one after their worst loss of the season following on from a defeat to Angers.
