Lyon and Brest will clash on Wednesday night in Ligue 1 after easy victories for either side last time out in the French top flight with Brest staying out of the bottom four as a result just as Lyon remain in the top half of the table.

Lyon’s form has been topsy-turvy this season and it hasn’t exactly improved that much under Laurent Blanc either. Jeremy La Douaron, Pierre-Lees Melou, Steve Mounie and Franck Honorat all scored a goal each for Eric Roy’s side in a 4-0 demolition of last-placed Angers.

It keeps them three points above the drop zone but with the same goals difference as Strasbourg just below them in 17th.
