Deportivo Alavés vs Levante betting tips: Segunda División play-off final first leg preview, predictions and odds

Deportivo Alavés vs Levante odds and betting statistics

Deportivo Alavés vs Levante match preview

After the pair came through their semi-finals this week, both are on the cusp of an instantaneous return to La Liga.

First, on Wednesday night, Levante saw off Albacete Balompié, prevailing 3-0 at home, having already won 3-1 on the road last weekend.

Roger Brugué bagging a brace before Roberto Soldado (remember him?) sealed an emphatic victory at Estadi Ciutat de València.

The Frogs are targeting an immediate return to the top-flight, with Javier Calleja’s team only missing out on automatic promotion on the final day.

Here, with the second leg to come at home next Saturday night, Levante will simply be seeking to leave Vitoria-Gasteiz with a positive result.

Deportivo Alavés meantime overcame Eibar in the semis, drawing 1-1 at Ipurúa before a 2-0 home win on Thursday.

Just like their visitors from Valencia, Alavés were also relegated from La Liga 13 months ago, so one of these two will be going straight back up, joining Granada and Las Palmas in the Primera División.

For what it’s worth, Levante actually won both meetings with Alavés during the season, both 2-0, prevailing in the Basque Country in December and then at home just six weeks ago.

Can Luis García Plaza’s side make home advantage count at Mendizorrotza?
