Arsenal fans had another moment to enjoy this morning: watching John Terry’s reaction to Kai Havertz’s goal against Chelsea that sent the Gunners to Wembley.

Former Blues skipper Terry was recording himself watching the game at home last night, presumably in the hope of catching the moment Chelsea scored a late goal that would have taken the tie to extra-time.

Instead, Arsenal went up the other end and Havertz, himself a former Chelsea player, rounded Robert Sanchez to put the ball in the net and secure a 1-0 win on the night and a 4-2 aggregate success.

Terry, who appears to be wearing a Chelsea training top, confidently claimed the goal would be ruled out for offside but replays showed the German was well on when receiving a pass from Declan Rice.

After the goal, Terry added on TikTok: “Not a bad performance from us but didn’t really look like scoring all night to be honest. And Arsenal have done what they need to do tonight.”

It is not the first time Terry has opened himself up to ridicule. He famously missed the 2012 Champions League final against Bayern Munich due to suspension but got changed into full Chelsea kit to lift the trophy.
