Premier League coverage is set to become more immersive next season with a range of new broadcast features, including interviews with players directly after substitution and limited access to dressing rooms for television cameras.

As part of a landmark four-year domestic broadcasting deal, reported to be worth a record £6.6 billion, rights holders Sky and TNT will be able to air up to 270 live matches each season.

While full details have not yet been made official by the Premier League, BBC Sport report that substituted players will be interviewed pitch-side during the match, though only after they’ve had time to cool down.

The league has not confirmed how frequently these interviews will occur or which fixtures will include them.

Camera crews will also be granted short-term access onto the pitch to capture close-up goal celebrations, offering a perspective that has typically been limited to major tournaments or overseas leagues.

Dressing room footage is expected to be tightly controlled. Entry will be allowed only at specific times, with no filming permitted during tactical briefings or team talks.

This type of access has long been a hallmark of sports broadcasting in the United States, but it remains relatively rare in UK football coverage.

The Premier League’s move toward a more behind-the-scenes experience reflects growing demand for enhanced fan engagement and real-time insights.

More detailed announcements from the Premier League are expected ahead of the 2025-26 season kickoff.
