Donnarumma sends Arsenal warning to PSG following draw at Nantes

Paris Saint-Germain’s 1-1 draw with Nantes on Tuesday meant they stayed unbeaten domestically, but Gianluigi Donnarumma had a warning for the Ligue 1 champions ahead of next week’s Champions League clash with Arsenal.

Donnarumma was beaten seven minutes from time by Douglas Augusto as hosts Nantes claimed a share of the spoils at the Stade de la Beaujoire, cancelling out Vitinha’s 33rd-minute opener for PSG.

Augusto fired in after PSG allowed Nantes to quickly get on the front foot following a throw-in, with Luis Enrique visible frustrated in the dugout.

And with PSG set to face Arsenal at Emirates Stadium in the first leg of their semi-final tie next Tuesday, Donnarumma believes the late leveller should serve as a reminder of the standards they need to maintain in order to progress to the final.

He told DAZN: “I’m really upset, especially when we concede goals like these.

“We should not lose the ball too easily, especially in the Champions League. The team put in a great performance, we managed the ball well, and we must continue like this against Nice on Friday and against Arsenal.”

PSG lost 2-0 at Arsenal in the league phase of the Champions League, but have since knocked out Premier League opposition in both the last 16 and quarter-finals, overcoming Liverpool and Aston Villa.

They host Nice at the Parc des Princes on Friday aiming to move a step closer to the unprecedented achievement of going an entire Ligue 1 season unbeaten.
