Sevilla v Barcelona: Confirmed line-ups as Lewandowski and Araujo return

Barcelona will hope to bounce back from their first defeat of the season this afternoon when they visit Sevilla.

Hansi Flick’s side were beaten 2-1 by Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League in midweek, the defending champions winning it late thanks to a goal from Goncalo Ramos.

The Catalans have been strong in La Liga and a win this afternoon will move them back to the top of the table, above Real Madrid, who beat Villarreal yesterday.

Sevilla start the day in 10th after last weekend’s win over Rayo Vallecano.

Flick makes two changes with Robert Lewandowski and Ronald Araujo coming back into the side.

Araujo replaces Eric Garcia while Lewandowski starts in attack. The Pole’s inclusion means Ferran Torres drops into a wide right spot in place of the injured Lamine Yamal.

Yamal is out for up to three weeks after suffering a recurrence of a groin injury.

Flick said of the teenage winger: “I spoke with him, it’s better but it’s not good. This is the situation with Lamine. With this injury, it’s not so easy to know [when he will return]. It’s not easy to say ‘OK he can play in two, three or four weeks…’ or if he’s able to play the Clásico.

“This is not possible. We have to wait. We must manage his load. He trains with the recovery team and [spend] the next weeks with them. We go step by step. We have to see how the evolution is.”
