LIVE – Atletico Madrid v Barcelona: Commentary, updates, goals and stats for La Liga clash

Barcelona will hope to avoid a repeat of their 4-0 thumping on their last visit to the Metropolitano in the first of three more games against Atletico Madrid inside 10 days.

Hansi Flick’s side were taken apart in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-finals on February 12 and, although Barca nearly pulled it back at Camp Nou, they will be gunning for revenge tonight.

The winners will also gain the psychological edge ahead of the teams meeting in the last eight of the Champions League, with the first leg in Catalonia on Wednesday.

Barca need a win to maintain their title challenge, while Atleti would leapfrog third-placed Villarreal with three points.
