Gabon vs Mozambique: AFCON 2025 confirmed starting line-ups and teams

Gabon and Mozambique play the second matches of their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Group F schedules on Sunday in Agadir.

Both sides started with 1-0 defeats, the Panthers losing to Cameroon and the Mambas succumbing to holders Ivory Coast.

Those results mean the countries are under pressure to keep their hopes of advancing to the last 16 intact by finishing in the top two in the section or finishing as one of the four best third-placed teams among the six groups.

101GreatGoals.com has the team news and starting line-ups as Gabon and Mozambique continue their AFCON 2025 campaigns.

Gabon starting line-up vs Mozambique

Gabon sprang a surprise by making two changes in the 33rd minute against Cameroon and both of the players who came on start this time.

Galatasaray midfielder Mario Lemina had been an injury doubt for that game, as had Marseille forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who is his country’s top scorer.

Of the duo to make way for the pair, Teddy Averlant is on the bench and Eric Bocoum is not in the squad.

Midfielder Guelor Kanga and winger Shavy Babicka also come in for centre-back Alex Moucketou-Moussounda and wideman Royce Openda.

Gabon starting XI: Loyce Mbaba, Anthony Oyono, Bruno Ecuele Manga, Mario Lemina, Jacques Ekomie, Andre Poko, Didier Ndong, Guelor Kanga, Shavy Babicka, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Denis Bouanga
