FPL 2025/26 GW15: Time to dump this quintet, including Morgan Rogers and Joao Pedro
It's time to move on from these players ahead of FPL GW15
FPL GW15 is upon us and next week’s transfer reset gives managers a full batch of five free transfers, meaning now’s the time to tidy up your squads, writes Fantasy Premier League expert Blake Hurst. It’s the perfect chance to offload players with poor fixtures, injuries, or fading form and make way for short-term punts before the refresh kicks in. Even if a move feels sideways, it’s better than wasting a transfer in a week built for opportunity. Here are five players worth selling in GW15 to help you maximise that final roll of the dice before the reset.
Table of Contents
Morgan Rogers (6.9m)
As much as Aston Villa forward Rogers has shown glimpses of the form that made him a popular pick last season, GW15 probably isn’t the time to hold. Arsenal is one of the worst fixtures for any attacking midfielder, against a side that controls possession and limits space between the lines. Rogers has looked sharper recently, but the output still isn’t consistent enough to justify keeping him this week when more explosive one-week punts are available. With so many better fixture swings around the league this week, this feels like a sensible short-term sell.
Nick Pope (5.1m)
A genuinely unfortunate one for those who invested early, but with Newcastle goalkeeper Pope confirmed out, managers can’t afford to hold. At 5.1m, there’s simply too much value elsewhere to leave that spot locked in. This week offers an ideal window to switch, with several strong replacements emerging – from underrated differentials like Senne Lammens and Dean Henderson to safer template options like David Raya, Jordan Pickford, Bart Verbruggen or Djordje Petrovic. Whether chasing a clean sheet or saving funds, moving Pope on this week makes total sense. Treat it as a free opportunity to rebalance and set your goalkeeping rotation right before the reset hits.
Antoine Semenyo (7.7m)
After such a bright start to the season, Semenyo’s spark has really faded. No goal involvement since GW8 tells its own story, and things don’t get easier with Chelsea and Manchester United up next. While he always carries a bit of unpredictability and is capable of a surprise return against these teams, both the eye test and underlying data point to a drop in form. He’s also been less central to Bournemouth’s attacking play lately, which limits his ceiling even more. With better one week punts out there, now’s the time to move on from Semenyo before tougher fixtures bite.
João Pedro (7.4m)
This is the final week we suggest to call time on João Pedro. He’s still highly owned at 41%, but his recent output doesn’t justify a 7.4m price tag, especially with ongoing rotation risk in the Chelsea attack. The return of Cole Palmer further complicates minutes and set-piece duties, leaving Pedro’s fantasy role unclear heading into the festive period. There’s no denying his ability, but “potential” doesn’t earn you points. With a number of mid-priced forwards delivering more reliable minutes and fixtures, selling Pedro in GW15 feels like both a safe and sensible play.
Marc Cucurella (6.2m)
Chelsea’s defence has looked vulnerable lately, and Moises Caicedo’s absence has clearly disrupted their structure. Cucurella, while tidy in possession, hasn’t offered enough clean sheet potential or DEFCON points to justify holding on. Bournemouth next could easily see him exposed again – they may not dominate games, but they always seem to find a goal. With Newcastle and Manchester United defences looking stronger alternatives this week as a punt, switching Cucurella out for a more stable option feels like the smart call in GW15. Now’s the time to move before his value dips further.
