Man City have the chance to bounce back from Saturday’s controversial defeat at Newcastle when they host Bayer Leverkusen tonight.

Pep Guardiola was visibly irritated after some key decisions went against his side at St James’ Park and he apologised yesterday for an altercation with a cameraman after the final whistle.

The loss was their second in 15 games and they go into the clash with Leverkusen in good shape in the Champions League.

Leverkusen have continued to rebuild following the short tenure of Erik ten Hag and have lost just two games since Kasper Hjulmand took charge in September – against Bayern Munich and PSG.
