Barcelona target Harry Kane yet to open talks with Bayern over new deal
Harry Kane has been linked with a move to Camp Nou
Harry Kane has not yet opened talks with Bayern Munich over a new contract but insists he remains happy at the Bundesliga champions despite reported interest from Barcelona.
Kane’s contract with Bayern expires in the summer of 2027 but there is believed to be a clause that becomes active in seven months’ time that would enable him to move on if anyone offered €65million.
According to the Spanish press, that is of interest to Barca as they seek a replacement for Robert Lewandowski who turns 38 next August. It is also likely a host of Premier League teams would be interested in bringing Kane back to England.
But in an interview with German newspaper Bild, the 32-year-old said there was no rush from his end to discuss a new deal at the Allianz Arena.

There is no hurry – Kane
The England captain said: “I have not had contact with anyone, no-one has contacted me. I feel very comfortable in the current situation, even if we have not yet talked to Bayern.
“There is no hurry. I am really happy in Munich. You can see that in the way I play. If there is contact, we will see. But I am not thinking about that yet.”
Kane is midway through another brilliant season, scoring 24 goals in 18 games in all competitions, and does not believe the clause will be activated next summer as his focus will be on England’s challenge at the World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
“It is very unlikely that something will change after this season,” he added. “I am sure that I will have talks with Bayern in the next few months, then we will see what is best for the future.”
Bayern remain confident of keeping Kane
Bayern president Herbert Hainer is confident Kane will extend his stay in southern Germany.
“We still have a one and a half years left on his contract and he is playing at an incredibly high level,” said Hainer. “I firmly believe that he likes it very, very much in Munich, that he is happy. We will talk.
“It is dependent on what his plans for the future look like. But I firmly believe that FC Bayern also has very, very good chances [of renewing his deal].”
Kane will lead the Bayern front line tomorrow night when the former Spurs striker returns to North London to face Premier League leaders Arsenal.
