Match preview

Huddersfield Town will be looking to park their terrible form in the Championship when they head to Deepdale to meet with a Preston North End side in topsy-turvy form this FA Cup weekend.

No side in the Championship has moved up and down the table as consistently as Preston this season. The club have moved back into 10th in the table after beating Stoke City 1-0 away from home.

Preston also lost to West Brom before that win, and even lost to Huddersfield 2-1 on Boxing Day. Greg Cunningham gave PNE the lead that day before two late goals won it for the Terriers – Jordan Rhodes and Kaine Kessler Hayden scored the goals.

Huddersfield remain in the relegation zone after losing to Luton Town on New Year’s Day. The club also managed to beat Rotherham United 2-0 after beating Preston, and this looked to be the start of them getting out of the bottom three.

They remain in 23rd, however, having scored just 24 goals and won seven from the 25 games in the Championship.
