Everton vs Boreham Wood betting tips: FA Cup preview, predictions & odds

Boreham Wood face the biggest test in the club’s history as they travel to Goodison Park to face Everton.

However, Luke Garrard‘s team managed to cause a huge upset in the previous round as they eliminated the Championship’s 2nd placed side, Bournemouth.

The non-league side are unlikely to advance but they will fancy their chances of giving Frank Lampard’s side a strong test.

The winger is also the Toffees’ leading scorer this season with 7 goals.

He is expected to lead Everton’s attack against the non-league side on Thursday.

Everton have defeated Hull City and Brentford to reach the 5th round of the FA Cup.

The Toffees just edged past the Tigers in the third round as they won 3-2 away at Hull.

Meanwhile, they enjoyed a much easier tie against Brentford, who they hammered 4-1 at Goodison.

Lampard’s side were beaten on the weekend by Man City who won 1-0.

Everton were denied a controversial penalty shout which was also turned down by VAR.

Boreham Wood stun Bournemouth

Boreham Wood caused one of the biggest FA Cup shocks as they dumped Bournemouth out of the competition.

The Wood claimed a stunning 1-0 win at the Vitality Stadium to book their place in the next round.

Garrard’s side have now had to get through four rounds to reach this stage of the competition.

They are currently 4th in the National League.

Everton team news

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is set to miss the clash due to a groin injury.

He joins Yerry Mina, Fabian Delph, Tom Davies and Ben Godfrey in missing the match.

Boreham Wood team news

Josh Rees is the player to look out for on Thursday from Boreham Wood.

The midfielder has 10 goals to his name this season, two of which have come in the FA Cup.

Meanwhile, it was Mark Ricketts who was the hero in the last round as he scored the only goal in the game at Bournemouth.
