Two sides locked on points in the Championship table are set to go head-to-head at The Den this Saturday, April 15th.

The matchup in question will see Millwall act as hosts, in a meeting with Preston North End.

Beginning with the former, Millwall currently find themselves in fifth in the Championship table, primed to book their spot in the playoffs come the season’s close.

Recent weeks, however, have in fact see the Lions promotion hopes dealt a series of blows.

All told, dating back to this time last month, Gary Rowett’s troops have collected just two points from an available twelve.

Most recently, earlier this week, a trip to the MKM Stadium to take on Hull City saw Millwall’s struggles in front of goal prove costly once more, en route to a 1-0 defeat.

Safe to say, then, that Saturday’s east London showdown marks an absolutely crucial one in the respective seasons of both sides.

Turning attentions towards the upcoming visitors to The Den, Preston have enjoyed an altogether more fruitful time of things of late.

Stretching all the way back to mid-February, the Lilywhites have been condemned to defeat in just one of their last eleven.

Not only that, but they have too emerged on the right side of the result in four of the club’s last five.

Most recently, after making short work of Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road, Ryan Lowe’s men played host to Reading at Deepdale.

And, just when it looked as though proceedings were set to peter out into a draw, Brad Potts struck a decisive winner, deep into time added on.

Preston, as a result, have surged back into the playoff picture, in the knowledge that another three-point haul this weekend would see them replace Millwall in the top-six.

We at 101, though, are nevertheless backing Gary Rowett’s out-of-form hosts, upon the final whistle sounding in east London, to have done enough to secure a point.
