It’s third taking on fourth in the Bundesliga’s second gameweek since the World Cup as Freiburg welcome Eintracht Frankfurt to the Stade Europa-Park on Wednesday evening with both sides level on 30 points each.

With 30 points all there is between Frankfurt in second, Union Berlin in third and Freiburg in fourth, we could see an almighty change to the top six this weekend, as Union also meet neighbours Hertha Berlin.

The only area keeping Frankfurt and Freiburg adrift of one another is the former’s excellent goalscoring record. Frankfurt have managed to score 35 goals so far, compared to Freiburg’s 25. Freiburg have also let in 23 goals compared to Frankfurt’s 24.

The two also had very contrasting results in the returning Bundesliga gameweek, as Christian Streich’s men were beaten 6-0 by Wolfsburg after having 10 shots on target conceded.

Frankfurt, however, smashed last-placed Schalke at home thanks to a goal from Jesper Lindstrom after the first 21 minutes of the game, as Auerlio Buta and Rafael Santos Borre Maury scored a goal each in the second half.
