Real Madrid look to bounce back from last week’s derby defeat to rivals Atletico when they host Villarreal on Saturday evening.

Xabi Alonso’s side lost their unbeaten La Liga start in emphatic fashion last weekend but did see Kylian Mbappe score a hat-trick in a routine midweek Champions League win.

Villarreal are in third in La Liga though after a bright start of their own – although they have a dismal record of six wins in 53 games against Real.

Villarreal are waiting on Ayoze Perez and Gerard Moreno who are doubts, with Nicolas Pepe set to start.
