Meanwhile, very few expected Viking to prevail when they were drawn against Czech giants Sparta Prague.

However, after a goalless draw on the road, the Norwegian club prevailed 2-1 in Stavanger last Thursday.

Viljar Vevatne and Maï Traoré the scorers in a comeback win, the latter coming deep into added on time.

So, this already represents the Dark Blues’ best European run since their sole group stage appearance back in 2005.
