Cristiano Ronaldo made a goalscoring return to the Al-Nassr squad in their last Pro League game, and will aim to fire them to three points against Al-Hazem tomorrow.

Ronaldo’s self-imposed exile – due to his unhappiness at the club’s lack of transfer activity in January compared to title rivals Al-Hilal – saw him miss two league games but his presence this weekend will help Al-Nassr’s challenge towards the top of the table.

They head into the weekend in third place, a point behind Al-Ahli (who’ve played a game more) and Al-Hilal.

Jorge Jesus’ side maintained their momentum with a 2-0 victory at Al-Fateh last time out.

Five-time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo struck from Sadio Mane’s cross to put his side ahead in the 18th minute at the Prince Abdullah Bin Jalawi Stadium, where wideman Ayman Yahya fired in a superb finish as part of a move from a throw-in to complete the scoring 12 minutes from time.

Al-Hazem are 11th and looking good enough to avoid the scramble to avoid relegation beneath them.

Jalel Kadri and his side have won two of their last five in the league, including a 2-1 victory over Al-Okhdood last time out.

Al-Nassr have a virtually fully-fit squad with Sami Al-Najei their only absentee.

Kadri is expected to stick with a three-man defence. Omar Al Somah is their main attacking threat.
