The hopes of Barcelona of putting Athletic Club to the sword on Sunday afternoon have been afforded a boost, by way of the latest personnel news stemming from the Basque country.

As confirmed a short time ago, star shot-stopper Unai Simon will play no part in proceedings at San Mames in 24 hours’ time.
And the 25-year-old, evidently, has not yet fully recovered, absent from the matchday squad unveiled across Athletic’s social media platforms on Saturday.
