Swansea City vs Bournemouth match preview

Can AFC Bournemouth claim their first victory of the Andoni Iraola era?

So far, the new manager has picked up just one point from three Premier League matches.

The Cherries did hold West Ham to a credible draw on the opening day, before back-to-back defeats at the hands of Liverpool and then Tottenham.

In fairness, these are tricky matches to start, but Bournemouth’s fixture list doesn’t get much easier.

On Saturday they travel to Brentford, before taking on Chelsea (H), Brighton (A) and Arsenal (H) between the next two international breaks.

So, the Cherries will be desperate to pick up a victory here, for morale if nothing else, and they have only failed to get beyond this stage of the Carabao Cup once in the last decade.

Michael Duff’s sole victory since taking over as Swans manager did come against Northampton Town in round one, but a repeat home victory in South Wales seems unlikely.
