These two teams enjoyed mixed results in the League Cup quarter-finals this week, so who will prevail in the Highlands?
On Tuesday night, Heart of Midlothian booked their place at Hampden with a battling 2-1 victory over Kilmarnock.
Jorge Grant broke the deadlock, only for Killie to equalise mid-way through the second half, before Alex Lowry popped up to fire home a 92nd minute winner at Rugby Park.
This was a much-needed win for Steven Naismith’s side, given that his team have lost three of their last four Premiership outings, and been smashed by PAOK in Europe during this time.
This leaves Hearts in sixth place, in need of points here.
Ross County meantime were dumped out of the League Cup on Wednesday, ousted 2-1 by Aberdeen at home, with Kyle Turner’s penalty proving to be too little too late.
In the Premiership, just like Hearts, Malky Mackay’s men have seven points to their name, following last weekend’s 4-0 drubbing, also at the hands of Aberdeen.
The Staggies will be pleased to be playing someone other than the Dons, even if this won’t be easy either.
