Edin Dzeko sends message to Manchester City ahead of Champions League final reunion

Inter Milan star Edin Dzeko has taken to social media, to send a message to former employers Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola’s City, of course, are fresh off a historic night on Wednesday.

Owing to a four-goal drubbing of reigning holders Real Madrid, the Sky Blues booked a spot in the Champions League final, in the process keeping alive hopes of a first-ever treble.

Standing in the way of the English champions-in-waiting in Istanbul, though, will be an under-dog Internazionale outfit.

The Nerazzurri sent arch rivals AC Milan packing in the semi-finals of the Champions League, setting up a showdown with City next month.

And, as alluded to above, one member of Inter’s squad, on Thursday, was keen to send a message to his side’s opponents in waiting.

Edin Dzeko, of course, enjoyed a successful stint at The Etihad earlier in his career, maintaining icon status amongst the club’s supporters owing to his central role in the Citizens’ historic Premier League title win back in 2012.

In turn, this evening, the Bosnian took to his official Twitter account, to send a lighthearted message to his former club:

‘See you in Istanbul Man City’, he wrote.
