French giants Paris Saint Germain have unsurprisingly accepted the mammoth £259m offer from Roshn Saudi League outfit Al-Hilai for footballing superstar Kylian Mbappé as the Roshn Saudi League looks to prize arguably the best player on the planet away from Europe in a summer that has seen the PIF-backed market movement hit overdrive.

The 24-year-old French star and global icon threw down the gauntlet regarding his immediate future at Parc des Princes by refusing to sign a new deal, with PSG countering his stance by stating they will never play him again for the duration of his deal should he not sign on to new terms.

Mbappé has already been axed from the club’s pre-season tour according to reports from ESPN’s Julien Laurens three days ago, lending further weight to the notion that he could very well have played his last match for the French champions.

With an impasse now in full effect between both camps, Al-Hilal has levied an offer that will shatter football’s all-time transfer record, also involving PSG, when the Parisians splashed £190 million to bring Neymar to the city of lights from Barcelona.

Given that PSG has officially allowed Mbappé to discuss terms with Al-Za’eem surrounding what would be a one-year deal before he would, in all likelihood, then move to Real Madrid in the summer of 2024, the footballing world waits with bated breath over what could be an era-defining move amid concerns from Europe that Saudi Arabia will successfully establish itself as a destination for talent that is not just looking for a last payday before retirement.
