Revealed: The latest club to join the race to sign Lionel Messi in bid to set up Cristiano Ronaldo clash

Lionel Messi is set to receive a major money offer that could see him face Cristiano Ronaldo once again...

Lionel Messi’s future is set to be a major talking point in the summer.

His contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires in June meaning he will be a free agent.

One thing is for sure, the World Cup winner will certainly not be short of offers...

Messi’s mega-money move

Saudi Arabia are preparing to offer Lionel Messi a massive contract, according to Marca.

Al Hilal are the club that want to sign him and are ready to give him the same salary as Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo’s two-and-a-half-year contract is worth €220 million per season.

The Argentine is expected to only be offered a one-year contract.

It would of course set up a huge rematch between two of the greatest players of all time.

Saudi are dreaming of having both players in their top division.

Politicians are even willing to change the laws and raise the salary cap in order to do so.

Messi has also been linked with a sensational return to FC Barcelona when his PSG contract expires.

But the Saudis are ready to offer him insane money to lure him to the Middle East.
