Real Madrid bound? PSG put Kylian Mbappe up for sale


A bombshell announcement surrounding the future of Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe has, late on Friday, surfaced online.

The name of frontman Mbappe has of course dominated the headlines at the Parc des Princes across the summer to date, after the French international informed the powers that be at his long-time club that he has no intention of extending his current terms, ahead of their expiration in the summer of 2024.

This decision is understood to have left a sour taste in the mouths of the powers that be at PSG, who have long viewed their talismanic attacker as something of a club cornerstone.

Until now, it had nevertheless remained unclear exactly how Nasser Al-Khelaifi and co. intended to proceed with the situation, but, as alluded to above, confirmation of precisely that has tonight arrived.

First, a short time ago, Mbappe was left off Luis Enrique’s travelling squad list bound for a pre-season tour of Japan.

And such news has since been followed by confirmation, courtesy of a whole host of sources, that the 24-year-old has been put up for sale.

The decision of the PSG brass comes with Mbappe having made clear to his employers that he intends to join Spanish giants Real Madrid as a free agent next summer.

Adamant that they will not lose one of world football’s standout performers for nothing, however, the Ligue 1 champions have formally placed the prolific striker on the transfer market, opening the door for any and all interested clubs to enter the fray.
