PSG close €50 million deal for Bayern Munich star

French giants Paris Saint-Germain have, on Sunday, confirmed the signing of a star member of the defensive setup at Bayern Munich.

The player in question? Lucas Hernandez.

The name of left-back Hernandez, of course, has taken its place front and centre in the headlines in France’s capital over the course of the last couple of weeks.

This came amid widespread confirmation that the 27-year-old had been identified as a chief target on the part of incoming PSG boss Luis Enrique.

Keen to add fresh experience to their backline on the back of the departure of Sergio Ramos, the powers that be at the Parc des Princes, in turn, kicked negotiations with their Bayern counterparts into gear.

And, as alluded to above, on Sunday, such talks have, officially, borne fruit.

As confirmed in a statement across the club’s website and social media platforms, PSG have completed the signing of Hernandez.

The French international has put pen to paper on a five-year contract back in his home country, in a deal understood to be worth around €50 million.

Bayern, for their part, will now make use of the funds raised from Hernandez’s exit to activate the release clause of Napoli standout Kim Min-jae.
