Newcastle make their return to the Champions League stage on Tuesday evening when they face AC Milan at the San Siro.
Newcastle have not been in the Champions League group stages since 2002/03 where losses to FC Barcelona and Inter Milan sent them out of the competition. And they have not competed in any form of European football since the 2012/13 season when they were in the Europa League.
They now face one of the Champions League veterans in their opening clash of the current campaign.

Joe Willock (calf) and Emil Krafth (knee) are both expected to be out of action until October 21.
Joelinton picked up a knock over the weekend but should be back in action for Tuesday’s trip.
