Harry Kane matches Klose benchmark as ex-Tottenham bests Arsenal in table-topping Bundesliga clash

Harry Kane’s brilliant start to life in the colours of Bayern Munich has continued on Friday evening.

For those not aware, Kane, and Bayern, are currently locked in action.

In a crunch showdown atop the Bundesliga table, the champions act as hosts, in a meeting with Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen at the Allianz Arena.

The sides headed into proceedings as the only two still in possession of flawless records with three games on the board in Germany’s top-flight.

A tightly-contested affair, in turn, was widely predicted in the build-up to the clash.

With less than 10 minutes on the clock, though, as alluded to above, the hosts took the lead.

This came upon north London rivalries being restored, as the aforementioned Harry Kane, formerly of Tottenham, broke free from ex-Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka to nod home a free header at the back post:

This made it four in four for Kane since swapping England for Germany, in the process guiding the Englishman into the history books.

As revealed by statisticians Opta:

‘Harry Kane has scored four goals in his first four Bundesliga games for FC Bayern - the last player to do so for the Bavarians, was Miroslav Klose in 2007′.

*Update* - Leverkusen have since levelled things up in Bavaria, courtesy of a sumptuous free-kick from summer arrival Alex Grimaldo.
