FPL 2023/24: Best captain picks gameweek 6

Gameweek 6 of the 2023/24 Premier League season is set to get underway later this week.


Premier League action, of course, also means millions of players will be setting up their Fantasy Premier League side for the forthcoming action.

One of the most important aspects of FPL is picking your captain each week. Whoever you select as your captain with earn double their standard score, or triple it if you choose to play your triple captain chip, which you can do once per season.

But deciding on your captain each week can be a very tough decision that can make or break your game week.

With this in mind, 101GreatGoals will be providing you with an insight into the best captain picks for every game week this season.

Best FPL captains gameweek 6

Bukayo Saka vs Tottenham (8.7)

Bukayo Saka has been Arsenal’s standout player so far in the 2023/24 Premier League season.

The winger has two goals and two assists in five league outings and despite Martin Odegaard taking one off him, Saka does appear to be the Gunners’ main penalty taker.

Arsenal face an in-form Tottenham this week but there are usually plenty of goals in this fixture, with Saka predicted to get the third-highest points of any FPL player in GW5 (5.7)

Mohamed Salah vs Liverpool (12.5)

With two goals and four assists in five games, Mo Salah is the second-highest-scoring midfielder on FPL so far this season.

Liverpool take on West Ham in GW5 who have been in good form but have still shipped seven goals this term.

Salah is predicted to garner seven points this gameweek, which is the second-highest of any player.

Erling Haaland vs Nottingham Forest (14.1)

Another gameweek, another big points prediction for Manchester City’s Erling Haaland.

Haaland is the highest-scoring player on FPL after five gameweeks thanks to his seven goals and one assist.

Man City face Nottingham Forest this weekend and Haaland is predicted to earn 10.1 points on FPL.
