Chelsea circle with PSG ready to exclude Kylian Mbappe for coming season

A fresh insight into the ongoing back-and-forth between French giants Paris Saint-Germain and star man Kylian Mbappe has come to the fore on Saturday evening.

The subject of frontman Mbappe’s future, of course, has taken its place centre stage in the European media headlines over the course of the last 24 hours.

This comes on the back of a bombshell announcement on the part of PSG.

Evidently completely fed up with the behaviour of their one-time talisman, the capital giants first revealed that Mbappe had been omitted from new boss Luis Enrique’s pre-season squad.

And such news was swiftly followed by confirmation on the part of a whole host of sources that the 24-year-old has officially been placed on the transfer market.

This decision on the part of Nasser Al-Khelaifi and co. comes after Mbappe made clear his intention to see out the remaining year of his contract, before taking his talents to Spain with Real Madrid in the summer of 2024.

Understandably keen to secure some form of return for one of world football’s best, though, PSG, it would appear, have no intention of acquiescing to Mbappe’s demands.

What, then, in the case of a stalemate between the two parties?

Well, on Saturday evening, an insight into precisely that has been forthcoming online.

As per French outlet Le Parisien, regarded as altogether reliable when it comes to ongoings at the Parc des Princes, the PSG hierarchy have made clear to their wantaway striker that, if he does not commit to either a contract renewal or sale, he will spend the coming season banished to the stands.

Elsewhere on the Mbappe front, an insight into the clubs planning an imminent move for the French international has too been provided.

The info comes courtesy of The Times, who have revealed that negotiations over Mbappe’s PSG exit will be kicked into gear next week.

And ready to throw their respective names in the hat for the World Cup winner are Premier League giants Chelsea, as well as a number of Saudi clubs.
