All attention turns to Auxerre this weekend when they head to Toulouse who sit up in 13th and safe in Ligue 1 for another season as only Nantes and Auxerre can be relegated from the French top flight in the last two games of the season.

Auxerre are sitting above Nantes in the race to stay out of the drop zone, as they sit one clear of Nantes. It comes after eight wins and 18 losses for the club, although they have netted just 33 goals.

There are still two games left to play, but with a win here and a loss for Nantes, Auxerre would be safe for another year in Ligue 1.

Auxerre were beaten by PSG in the last outing and they have not won since beating Nantes this time last month. They’ve lost to Lille, Marseille, Brest and Clermont Foot in this time.

As for Toulouse, their season is all but over in their own heads after defeating Nantes in the French Cup final 5-1 and securing safety just before that.
