World Cup 2018 predictions & sweepstakes
Going into the tournament we have prepared a World Cup 2018 Excel spreadsheet to help you with your predictions and sweepstakes.
Our thinking was that this Excel Spreadsheet can be used to formulate who you think will win World Cup 2018 and also for your office sweepstakes.
Everyone thinks they know how World Cup 2018 will play out, so put your money and your opinions on the line.
World Cup 2018 Excel spreadsheet rules & advice
Choose your language, time zone, name of your sweepstake/spreadsheet and then fill in team to score most goals and top goal scorer – for the latter two there is a drop down provided.
Then start filling in the result of each game. The Excel spreadsheet will then fill in automatically each table on the right hand side and will populate the knockout rounds for you.
You will be able to predict the whole World Cup 2018 tournament on this spreadsheet by simply putting in each score in the white result boxes.
In the knockout rounds, there can be no tie scores, if a match is decided by penalties – then the winning team will have one more goal.
Once all the result boxes are completed, all your predictions will be collated in the box on the far right hand side.
For those running a sweepstake or predictor competition, the information in the box on the far right hand side will have to be moved over to the admin page, where each individual taking part has a box available. Up to 100 participants can take part.
There are also league tables, for each phase of the tournament.
The Admin page
For those of you playing a sweepstake or predictor competition, the Admin page will set all the rules for the game.
How many points are awarded for every eventuality, a betting section to decide the buy in and total jackpot.
Finally, the option to decide if the winner has to pick the World Cup 2018 winners.
Once you have entered the predictions in the “Russia 2018” sheet, copy all the predictions from all users to the Participants tables in the “Admin” sheet.
The Excel will know how to calculate the scores for each game as World Cup 2018 continues.
We hope this World Cup 2018 Excel spreadsheet enhances your enjoyment of the tournament in Russia.

Important message: YOU DO NOT NEED A PASSWORD FOR THE ADMIN SPREADSHEET!
(Sorry for the caps lock/shouting, but the amount of emails regarding the lack of a password are staggering now.)
All the places you need to make changes or do something are open and no password is required.
We guess you think that you need to touch something you shouldn’t or doesn’t make any sense to touch, and then it asks you for a password.
All the places you need and can touch are coloured in grey.
Many thanks for all the feedback! (Sorry for shouting!)
