Wimbledon 2025: Day 6 picks with Sinner, Swiatek and Djokovic in action

The third round concludes on an action-packed Day 6 at SW19

Sinner

Jannik Sinner, Iga Swiatek and Novak Djokovic are among the big names in action on the middle Saturday of Wimbledon as a thrilling week in SW19 continues.

Sinner has looked every bit a title contender at Wimbledon so far, easing through his opening two rounds and reinforcing his status as one of the favorites for a maiden SW19 crown.

Djokovic, meanwhile, showed flashes of vintage form in his second-round win over Britain’s Dan Evans, as he continues to build momentum.

On the women’s side, Swiatek, the No. 8 seed, remains one of the top-ranked players left in the draw and will aim to reach the fourth round at Wimbledon for just the third time in her career.

Defending champion Barbora Krejcikova, 2022 winner Elena Rybakina, and rising star Mirra Andreeva are also eyeing spots in the last 16 as the competition heats up.

1 Jannik Sinnner (ITA) v Pedro Martinez (ESP)

No1 seed Sinner has been flawless at Wimbledon so far, most recently seeing off Aleksandar Vukic in straight sets in the second round.

The Italian is the only man to have not dropped a set at the competition so far and is looking more and more like he is ready to claim his first ever Wimbledon title.

Next up is Pedro Martinez, the Spaniard who not many predicted would reach this stage but has produced some exciting tennis during wins over George Loffhagen and Mariano Navone.

Still, Martinez has shown some wayward serving at times and is unlikely to have enough to challenge Sinner in the form he is currently in.

Prediction: Sinner in three sets

8 Iga Swiatek (POL) v Danielle Collins (USA)

After overcoming a scare against Caty McNally, Swiatek will be eyeing a deep run at SW19 after a number of bug names were sent packing on the first week.

Many wondered whether the Polish star would be the latest victim after surrendering a 4-1 lead in the first set against McNally but her response to that setback will have her in confident mood.

American Collins has caused Swiatek problems in their recent encounters and will undoubtedly make it difficult for the eighth seed.

But Swiatek has impressed so far and should make it through to the second week.

Prediction: Swiatek in three sets

Miomir Kecmanovic (SER) v 6 Novak Djokovic (SER)

Seven-time champion Djokovic rolled back the years with a delightful display to knock out Evans and remains an outside shout for the title.

The Serb is unlikely to have to reach the same level against his compatriot, who he has a dominant head-to-head record against having convincinly beaten the 49-ranked player in their previous three meetings.

Kecmanovic has the consistency of strokes at the baseline but is unlikely to possess the power needed to get the better of Djokovic on grass.

Prediction: Djokovic in three sets
