Carlos Tevez is confident he can bring Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo together to play in his farewell match.
The former Argentina striker played with both during his illustrious career which came to an end in 2022.
The 41-year-old, who is currently out of work following coaching spells with Rosario Central and Independiente, has yet to set a date for the game but is hoping he can attract the biggest names in world football, including Messi and Ronaldo.
Speaking to Olga, he said: “Yes, I’m going to do it [a farewell game]. I probably will do it. We just have to figure out when. It’s not easy.
“We’ll get them [Messi and Ronaldo] together.”
Messi and Ronaldo not come face to face for two years
The last time the pair shared a field was in a friendly in 2023 between a Riyadh XI featuring Ronaldo and Paris Saint-Germain, for whom Messi was still a star player.
Their last competitive clash came in 2020 when Ronaldo scored twice as Juventus won a Champions League game 3-0 at Barcelona.
Tevez played with Messi for Argentina between 2005 and 2015.
Alongside Ronaldo, he won two Premier League titles and one Champions League crown at Manchester United.
