NBA giant Nikola Jokic scored 29 points as the Denver Nuggets beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 119-107 to send their Western Conference semi-final series into a decisive seventh game .

Denver were 3-2 down in the series but fought back after half-time to earn a trip to Oklahoma City for Game seven on Sunday, 18 May.

“To win that [fourth] quarter, after what’s happened the last two games, says a lot of our guys and the fact that they can bounce back from anything – I keep saying that,” said Denver coach David Adelman. “We just keep finding our way.”

Julian Strawther scored a key 15 points in the second half after coming off the bench, despite losing a prosthetic tooth in a challenge.

A ball boy scooped it up for him in a towel and returned it to the bench.

“We got it back”,” he said.

“That’s the moment you dream of when you’re a little kid — come to the game, having all the guys believe in you, find you in your spots and be able to just make an impact on the game.

The Nuggets needed a seventh game to eliminate the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round.

The Minnesota Timberwolves await either Denver or Oklahoma City in the Western Conference final – last year they defeated the Nuggets in game seven of the Western Conference semi-finals.
