New York Yankees third baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr issued a stark warning to Maikel Garcia after the pair’s feud continued Tuesday.
Chisholm and Garcia first clashed during last season’s ALCS with the former accusing the Kansas City Royals star of trying to injure Anthony Volpe and calling him a “sore loser” after New York won a series-clinching Game 4.
And their mutual dislike was reignited at Kauffman Stadium when Garcia attempted a tag on Chisholm when the speedster tried to steal third base in the sixth inning.
The force of the tag dislodged Chisholm’s helmet with the throw hitting Garcia on the glove and rebounding to safety.
Chisholm got up slowly and was seen telling the Yankees’ third-base coach Luis Rojas: “I’m going to tell you one more time. If he tags me like that one more time, I’m going to smack the f*** out of him.”
“Imma tell you one more time… Imma tell you one more time… if he tags me like that again, imma smack the f*** outta him.”

It’s always him – Chisholm
He added after the game: “I just feel like every time we have a problem, it’s always been him. I mean, that’s the only reason I was so frustrated. And then to see that he didn’t even have the ball for the way that he tagged me. I didn’t like it.”
Garcia laughed off the threat afterwards, saying: “I’m waiting for it. It’s just talk.
“I was just trying to do my job, tag him. I missed the ball.”

Chisholm ready for round two tonight
Chisholm suffered a neck injury and a cut to his right thumb that saw him exit the game prematurely but he expects to play tonight.
He will be assured of a hostile reception but he insists he prefers that to silence.
He said: ”I’m not at home, so I would rather walk up to something instead of walking up to no noise at all. I feel like on the road when road hitters come up and there’s nothing going on, I feel like it’s just, like, bland. Go ahead and boo me. You’ve giving me some music to at least walk up to.”
Chisholm did at least have the consolation of tasting victory with the AL East-leading Yankees winning 10-2 to improve to 40-25 on the season.
