The Baltimore Ravens announced earlier today that they are releasing former eight-time All-Pro kicker Justin Tucker. This comes less than two weeks after the 2025 NFL Draft, where the Ravens selected kicker Tyler Loop with one of their sixth-round picks.
“Sometimes football decisions are incredibly difficult, and this is one of those instances,” wrote Baltimore general manager Eric DeCosta in a statement. “Considering our current roster, we have made the tough decision to release Justin Tucker. Justin created many significant and unforgettable moments in Ravens history. His reliability, focus, drive, resilience, and extraordinary talent made him one of the league’s best kickers for over a decade. We are grateful for Justin’s many contributions while playing for the Ravens. We sincerely wish him and his family the very best in this next chapter of their lives.”
In January, The Baltimore Banner published a report that contained first-hand testimonies from six massage therapists accusing Tucker of inappropriate sexual behavior from 2012 to 2016. After The Baltimore Banner published the story, another ten massage therapists came forward and accused Tucker of inappropriate sexual behavior.
Justin Tucker’s lawyers denied these accusations, calling them “impossible to prove.” Tucker also denied the allegations, calling them “unequivocally false.”
Ravens release Justin Tucker amid allegations involving massage therapists.
But there were also football reasons to release him. Tucker finished 28th in FG percentage last year (73.3 pct) and T-15th in 2023 (86.5 pct).

“Throughout my career as a professional athlete, I have always sought to conduct myself with the utmost professionalism,” Tucker wrote in a statement. “I have never before been accused of misconduct of any kind, and I have never been accused of acting inappropriately in front of a massage therapist or during a massage therapy session or during other bodywork. I have never received any complaints from a massage therapist, have never been dismissed from a massage therapy or bodywork session, and have never been told that I was not welcome at any spa or other place of business.”
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the National Football League is currently investigating the allegations.
Justin Tucker played his entire 13-year career in Baltimore. During his tenure, he was named a First-Team All-Pro five times and a Pro Bowler seven times. Before last season, Tucker had been named to five consecutive Pro Bowls. He holds several NFL records, including the longest field goal ever made (66 yards) and the highest career field goal percentage amongst kickers who have attempted at least 100 field goals (89.1%).
Even though he is a free agent, Tucker can still be disciplined by the NFL if the league finds the allegations to be true.
