New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel addressed a recent video that showed wide receiver Stefon Diggs on a boat holding a plastic bag with an unidentified pink substance in it while standing next to several women. Vrabel told reporters that the team is aware of the video.
“Obviously, we want to make great decisions on and off the field,” he said before OTAs on Wednesday. “We’re hoping that with our time here on the field today… that we’re making great decisions. The message will be the same for all our players: that we’re trying to make great decisions.”
ESPN reached out to a spokesperson for the National Football League, who declined to comment on the video of Diggs.
Vrabel spoke vaguely about his recent conversation with Diggs.

“Any conversations that I’ve had with Stefon will remain between him and I and the club,” he continued. “I talk to our players every single day. The ones that are here and the ones that aren’t.”
Diggs was noticeably absent from the start of OTAs, which began earlier today for the Patriots. When asked if Vrabel expects Diggs to be at practice, he basically told reporters no.
“We’re gonna coach the guys that show up at eight. And the ones that say, ‘Hey, I got a situation. We’ll be here at 8:05,’ we’ll coach those as well,” he said. “This is a voluntary part of our off-season program. Every player that’s not here, which there aren’t many, have been in communication with me and their position coaches.”

During Week Eight of last season, Stefon Diggs suffered a non-contact injury that was later diagnosed as a torn ACL, ending his 2024-25 season. Despite the severity of the injury, the Patriots signed Diggs this off-season to a three-year, $63.5 million contract.
“The timelines and the prognosis, and everything. We’re working hard to get him back and to be ready to go,” Vrabel explained. “When he’s here, we’ll coach him, and we’ll have everything ready to go.”
A four-time Pro Bowler, Stefon Diggs has caught 857 passes in 144 career games for 10,491 receiving yards and 70 receiving touchdowns. His best season came with the Buffalo Bills in 2020, when he led the NFL in receptions (127) and receiving yards (1,535).
