The 2025-26 season is finally starting to take shape.

The US autumn and winter holidays will, as usual, be a prime time for the NFL in 2025.

The Dallas Cowboys will host the Kansas City Chiefs on Thanksgiving, a traditional showdown between “America’s Team” and the team that may have supplanted them for that title in recent years.

Coming off three straight Super Bowl appearances, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and the Chiefs will enter 2025 once again as a hot favourite to win the Lombardi Trophy.

The Thanksgiving game is the second holiday game announced for Kansas City, along with a Christmas Day matchup against AFC West rivals the Denver Broncos.

The Chiefs played on Christmas and Black Friday in 2024, but haven’t played on Thanksgiving since 2006, a game in which they defeated the Broncos 19-10 thanks to 157 yards on 34 carries from Larry Johnson.

The Cowboys, who play on Thanksgiving – usually at home – every year, hold a record of 34-22-1 on the holiday and are riding a three-game Thanksgiving winning streak.

The full 2025 NFL schedule will be announced on Wednesday evening as camps begin to get underway ahead of the new season.

Here are the announced 2025 NFL holiday games as of Wednesday morning.
