Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry has signed a two-year contract extension worth $30 million – the largest deal ever awarded to a running back over the age of 30.
The agreement, confirmed by his agent Todd France, marks a significant commitment from the Ravens to their star back after a standout debut season in Baltimore.
France shared the news via Instagram, posting a graphic with the contract details alongside multiple photos of Henry. In the caption, he wrote:
“Age is irrelevant in the NFL when you’re as focused and work as hard as Derrick!!
“Everybody knows what a beast Derrick is on the field, not everybody gets to see the person he is off the field. I am lucky to work with a guy like Derrick!”
He added a message for Henry’s longtime partner, saying: “I’m so happy for you and your family.”

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, $25 million of the new deal is fully guaranteed across the two seasons.
Henry, now 31, joined the Ravens in the 2024 offseason on a two-year, $20 million contract after parting ways with the Tennessee Titans.
Despite Baltimore’s eventual playoff exit at the hands of the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round, Henry delivered one of the most productive seasons of his career.
Teaming up seamlessly with quarterback Lamar Jackson, the former Alabama star rushed for 1,921 yards – the second-highest total of his career and his most since 2020 – on 325 carries, while leading the league with 16 rushing touchdowns.
His postseason numbers were equally impressive: 270 yards, 42 carries, and three touchdowns.
With 11,423 career rushing yards and 106 touchdowns over 136 games (105 starts) with the Titans and Ravens, Henry stands as the NFL’s active rushing leader.
He’s also recorded at least 10 rushing touchdowns in seven consecutive seasons.e.
