The Minnesota Vikings are set to break new ground during the 2025 NFL season by becoming the first team ever to play consecutive international games in different countries.

As part of the NFL’s 2025 international schedule, the Vikings will face the Pittsburgh Steelers on September 28 at Croke Park in Dublin. for the first regular-season NFL matchup ever held in Ireland.

A week later, the Vikings will continue their international tour by heading to London, where they’ll face the Cleveland Browns at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on October 5.

“Playing in Ireland’s first-ever NFL game is an opportunity to introduce new fans to the Minnesota Vikings and help the league continue to make the game of football more accessible globally,” said Vikings owner Mark Wilf.

To do so against a storied franchise like the Pittsburgh Steelers adds a unique challenge that makes this even more special. We are honoured to be selected for this historic game and will be anxious to see what promises to be an electric game day environment in Croke Park.”

The Vikings are no strangers to the international spotlight having played in four previous regular-season games in London, all of which they’ve won.

Their most recent success came last year when they defeated the New York Jets at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

“Our experiences in London have always been memorable, so to return in 2025 as the first team to play in back-to-back international games in different countries was something we could not pass up,” Wilf added.

UK fans have a history of showing up and embracing the Minnesota Vikings, creating what often feels like a homefield environment, and we are hopeful that is what we see again in 2025.”

The 2025 international series begins earlier in the year, kicking off on September 5 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where the Los Angeles Chargers will face off against an unannounced opponent.

The NFL will also host two more games in London. On October 12, the New York Jets face the Denver Broncos at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and on October 19, the Los Angeles Rams take on London regulars in the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium.

The NFL will then return to Germany on November 9, for a clash between the Atlanta Falcons and Indianapolis Colts at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin.

The international schedule will eventually conclude with yet another first. On November 16, the Washington Commanders will take on the Miami Dolphins at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid, Spain – the first-ever NFL regular-season game in Spain.
