Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson shrugged off an injury scare in the win over the San Francisco 49ers and is already targeting being fit for next weekend.
Jefferson left the impressive 23-17 victory over the Niners that moved the Vikings to 2-0 with a bruised right quadriceps in the final quarter.

He was helped from the field before spending time in the medical tent.
“I’m not seriously injured,” Jefferson said. “So that’s the important thing. So it’s just all about getting to the training room, making sure my body is right for next week, and I’ll be ready to go next Sunday.”
Jefferson had earlier starred with a brilliant 97-yard touchdown after connecting with a long pass from quarterback Sam Darnold. He sustained the injury following a collision with 49ers linebacker Fred Warner.

Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell was also reasonably optimistic about Jefferson’s long-term outlook.
He added: “It was a quad contusion.
”Just got a little leg-to-leg contact on that. It’s pretty sore, but he’s already up and moving. We’ll just treat that thing and hopeful he’ll be day-to-day and we’ll see how his status looks for next week.”
The Vikings take on the Houston Texans in Minneapolis next Sunday.
